A Birthday Reflection: Walking Between Worlds

Updated: 7 days ago

Today is my birthday. Each year at this time, I pause—not to look back with nostalgia, but to listen. This reflection is an offering: a glimpse into the path that shaped my work, my relationship with Spirit, and the way I serve homes and land today.

As I celebrate another year on this Earth, I find myself reflecting on the journey that has shaped my life—a path that began far earlier than most. When I was five years old, I became aware of something many never consciously perceive: the presence of Spirit and the subtle worlds that exist alongside our physical one.

For me, this unseen realm was never abstract. It was vivid and immediate—alive with color, sound, and movement. While other children played without a second thought, I sensed emotions lingering in rooms, shadows that carried intention, and whispers embedded in the air itself. The world felt layered, as though multiple realities were unfolding at once, overlapping in quiet but unmistakable ways.

Walking the Line Between Worlds

By my teenage years, this awareness deepened through profound near-death experiences—three encounters that carried me to the threshold between life and death before I turned seventeen. These moments were not traumatic endings, but initiations. Each one expanded my sensitivity and clarified my purpose.

I came to understand that the boundary between worlds is not a wall, but a veil—thin, permeable, and responsive. Through these experiences, I discovered an ability to communicate with spirits who had not fully crossed over, helping them find release and peace. What once felt overwhelming slowly revealed itself as a calling.

Spirit communication rarely arrives as words. It comes through sensations, images, emotional waves, and fleeting impressions that defy linear time. Learning this language was not something I chose; it unfolded naturally, shaped by experience, trust, and deep listening.

Ancestral Roots and Living Wisdom

This awakening guided me back to my lineage. My mother and grandmother—women of Cherokee and Celtic ancestry—carried ancestral knowledge rooted in earth-based spiritual practice. Through them, I learned to listen to the land, to recognize intelligence in nature, and to honor the spirits that dwell within all living things.

They taught me that trees hold memory, stones carry stories, and water moves wisdom across time. Ritual was never separate from daily life; it was woven into how we listened, healed, and showed respect to the world around us. These teachings grounded my experiences and gave structure to what might otherwise have felt unmoored.

The Tradition of Spiritual House Cleansing

One of the most sacred practices passed through my family is spiritual house cleansing—a tradition carried by four generations of women. Rooted in both Native and Celtic wisdom, this work is not about removing “something bad,” but about restoring balance, clarity, and harmony to a space.

These remarkable women were not just my family; they were keepers of ancient wisdom and healers who understood the delicate interplay between the spiritual and physical worlds. They taught me that house cleansing is not merely about tidying up; it is about fostering peace within our spaces.

Homes absorb emotional residue. They remember grief, conflict, joy, and transition. A house cleansing is an act of listening—of acknowledging what has occurred and gently releasing what no longer serves those who live there now.

How the Cleansing Unfolds

Each cleansing begins with presence. I walk the space slowly, attuning to areas that feel heavy, disrupted, or unsettled. From there, I work with sacred tools—smoke, sound, crystals, oils, and prayer—each chosen intuitively and used with intention.

As ancient prayers rise into the space, energy shifts. Corners soften. The air changes. Often, there is a palpable sense of relief—as though the house itself exhales.

I visualize light moving through the structure, clearing stagnant patterns and restoring natural flow. This process is both gentle and precise, honoring the spirit of the home as much as the people within it.

Spirit Communication and Release

During this work, spirits sometimes make themselves known—not in fear, but in longing. Many are simply seeking acknowledgment or closure. Assisting them in crossing fully allows both the space and its inhabitants to return to equilibrium.

Communication comes through subtle signals: a sudden emotion, a memory that doesn’t belong to me, a scent, or a shift in temperature. These moments are quiet, reverent, and deeply human. When release occurs, the atmosphere transforms—lighter, clearer, calmer.

Nature as Teacher and Ally

Every property exists within a larger energetic landscape. The land itself holds history, and its character influences what unfolds within a home. Working in harmony with nature—honoring waterways, trees, and the spirit of place—deepens and stabilizes the cleansing process.

Nature has been one of my greatest teachers. Through time spent listening—to wind, water, and silence—I’ve learned patience, adaptability, and trust in cycles of change.

Bridging Ancient Practice and Modern Life

In today’s fast-paced world, many people feel overwhelmed, disconnected, and energetically depleted. Ancient practices like house cleansing and energy work offer practical ways to restore balance—without requiring belief systems or dogma.

Through individual sessions and group gatherings, I help others reconnect with their spaces and themselves. Witnessing the relief, clarity, and renewed sense of peace people experience reminds me why this work matters.

The Power of Community

Healing is amplified in community. Shared rituals, group clearings, and collective intention create powerful shifts—not just individually, but collectively. In these spaces, stories are shared, burdens are lightened, and people remember they are not alone.

Especially in times of isolation, coming together with intention becomes an act of resilience and hope.

Continuing the Journey

As I step into another year, I honor every experience—seen and unseen—that has shaped my path. My work is a bridge between worlds, between past and present, between land and spirit.

This journey is ongoing. Each chapter brings new insight, deeper understanding, and greater connection. It is my privilege to walk this path and to help others rediscover harmony within their homes, their land, and themselves.

Together, we continue unveiling the unseen—and in doing so, remember the quiet magic woven into everyday life.

If this story resonates, let it be a reminder to listen—to your space, your body, and the unseen currents shaping your life. We are all more connected than we realize.
