My Journey: A Birthday Memoir

Today, as I mark 70 years on this Earth, I can’t help but reflect on the unique path that has shaped me. My journey didn't begin with the usual milestones; it started, as if guided by an unseen hand, at the tender age of five. That was when I first opened my eyes to the realms of Spirit and the Paranormal. It was a world most couldn’t perceive, yet it was as real and vibrant to me as the world of the living.

This fascination blossomed into a calling by the time I approached adulthood. Before turning seventeen, I had already walked the thin line between worlds not once, but three times, through near-death experiences. These weren't mere brushes with mortality; they were awakenings. They unlocked within me the ability to communicate with ghosts and spirits, to guide them towards the light, helping them to cross over from their earthly bonds. Each crossing amplified my sensitivity to the energy that permeates all things – the energy of places, of people, of the very air around us.

This awakening led me to the heart of my ancestral heritage. Under the watchful eyes of my Cherokee and Celtic mother and grandmother, I delved into the ancient wisdom of Shamanic Practice. They were my first teachers, showing me how to listen to the whispers of the wind, how to read the signs in the rustling leaves, and how to feel the energy currents that flowed through the land.

But the thread that truly wove my purpose was the sacred tradition of spiritual house cleansing. This wasn’t a new concept for me; it was a practice deeply rooted in my family's history, passed down through four generations of women, tracing back to my Celtic and Native American grandmothers. These remarkable women were more than just matriarchs; they were keepers of ancient knowledge, custodians of forgotten rituals, and healers who possessed an innate understanding of the delicate balance between the spiritual and the physical world.

Their teachings weren't confined to the mechanics of rituals. They instilled in me a deep respect for the spirit of the house itself, the very essence that gives a dwelling its character and holds its stories. They revealed to me the presence and importance of nature spirits, the guardians and caretakers of the land upon which we build our homes. They taught me that we are not separate from nature but an intricate part of its grand tapestry.

My work as an energy shifter isn't just a profession, it’s an inheritance. It’s a legacy of love, a dedication to service, and a recognition of the profound impact our energy has on the world around us. I stand on the shoulders of the women who came before me, carrying the torch of ancient knowledge into the present. This spiritual lineage is a testament to the enduring power of these traditions and their continued relevance in a world often disconnected from the unseen.

On this birthday, I am grateful for the journey that has led me to this place of purpose. I am thankful for my teachers, both living and spirit, and I am honored to continue this sacred work, helping to bring balance, harmony, and healing into the world, one space, one soul, at a time. This isn’t just my story; it’s the story of my ancestors living through me, a powerful testament to the enduring wisdom of their ancient ways. And that, more than anything, fills my heart with joy and purpose.
