Does Your House Feel Heavy? August 7 Is the Perfect Time to Begin a Home Energy Reset

The Moon Meets the Seven Sisters • A Spiritual House Cleansing Ritual

Have you ever walked into your home and quietly thought,

"Something doesn't feel right."

The house is clean.

Nothing has changed physically.

Yet the atmosphere feels heavy.

You don't relax the way you once did.

Certain rooms seem uncomfortable.

The energy just feels... different.

If this sounds familiar, you're not alone.

At House Cleansings, one of the most common things we hear is:

"I can't explain it, but my house just feels heavy."

August 7: A Time for Reflection

Before dawn on August 7, the waning Moon passes near the Pleiades, also known as the Seven Sisters.

For thousands of years, cultures around the world have looked to the Seven Sisters as symbols of wisdom, guidance, and renewal.

Whether you see this celestial event as spiritual, symbolic, or simply beautiful, it offers a wonderful reminder to slow down and reconnect with the place you call home.

Ask yourself:

  • Does my home still feel peaceful?

  • Have I been carrying stress from room to room?

  • Has something changed in the atmosphere of my home?

  • What am I ready to let go of?

Sometimes the answers surprise us.

Homes witness our lives.

They quietly hold memories of joy, celebration, illness, grief, conflict, major life transitions, and everyday stress.

Over time, many people feel their homes need more than a deep cleaning.

They need a fresh start.

On the evening of August 7, try this simple ritual.

You will need:

  • A small bowl of sea salt or Himalayan salt

  • A white candle

  • A few quiet minutes

Open a window to invite fresh air into your home.

Light your candle.

Walk slowly through each room carrying the bowl of salt.

As you enter each room, say:

"May this home release all energy that no longer serves those who live here. May this space be filled with peace, harmony, love, and light."

If one room feels heavier than the others, simply pause there.

There is no need to rush.

When you've completed your walk, place the bowl of salt near your front entrance or in the room that felt the heaviest.

Leave it overnight.

The following morning, dispose of the salt outside your home or dissolve it in running water according to your own tradition.

When Your Home Needs More

Simple rituals can be a meaningful way to pause, reflect, and intentionally refresh your living space.

But if your home continues to feel heavy despite cleaning, decluttering, and traditional cleansing practices, there may be deeper influences connected to the home's history, significant life events, or previous occupants.

That's when a more comprehensive spiritual house cleansing may be appropriate.

Helping Homes Feel Like Home Again

At House Cleansings, we've helped homeowners across the United States and internationally restore peace to homes that felt heavy, unsettled, or simply "not like themselves."

As the Moon meets the Seven Sisters this August 7, perhaps it's the perfect time to ask yourself one simple question:

How would life feel if my home felt lighter?

Sometimes the journey toward a more peaceful home begins with a single quiet moment—and the intention to let go of what no longer belongs.
